Having lived by the sea all of my life its range of moods and sheer uncontrolled elementalness has provided a major focus for my art.

This series of six rock arch paintings shown here arose from one study painted on the Quiberon penisular in Brittany. I used the basic composition from the study as the basis of a series of colour experiments from orange/ blue-green to Derain inspired red/blue combination.
